“Engagement with science through public participation facilitates critical spaces for open discussions”

We are pleased to introduce the Science Gallery Network as our new partner, which will support the IYSE 2027 with programming, networking and more.

Science Gallery is an international network of leading universities united around a singular mission: to ignite creativity and discovery where science and art collide. “We are delighted to partner with the International Year of Science Engagement and look forward to supporting IYSE 2027 initiatives. The International Year of Science Engagement has never been so important. Engagement with science through public participation facilitates critical spaces for open discussions and an increase in our understanding of the world around us. It provides a rich opportunity for exploring new ways of thinking and finding innovative solutions for the things that impact us in our daily lives and the challenges we must face together as a global community”, says Sarah Durcan, Executive Director (Acting) of Science Gallery International.

The eight galleries of the Science Gallery Network are committed to bringing science, art, technology and design together to deliver world-class educational and cultural experiences for young people. By joining the Science Gallery Network, universities can draw on global connections to benefit their local communities, and use their local insights to generate new research with international impact. Science Gallery’s Network members recognise that the Science Gallery Network contributes significantly to achieving their key strategic objectives: internationalisation; excellence in research and learning; innovation and entrepreneurship; student recruitment; and community engagement.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Science Gallery Network for supporting our initiative and look forward to future collaborations and exchanges.
