If we want to enable people to make decisions based on scientific-evidence we need to engage with and reach different audiences. Thus, impactful Science Engagement matters for our modern world.“, says Markus Weißkopf, Managing Director of Wissenschaft im Dialog.
Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD; Science in Dialogue) is the organization of science for science communication in Germany. The non-profit organization supports science and research with expertise in effective communication with society, develops new mediation formats and encourages scientists in exchange with the public also on controversial topics of research. Among citizens, WiD raises awareness of the social importance of science and promotes the understanding of processes and findings of research. For this purpose, WiD organizes discussions, school projects, exhibitions, competitions throughout Germany and operates online portals around science and science communication.
